We got our first dogs in 1990 from New Orleans, Louisiana.We borrowed studdogs until we got our first liver female in 1993, Sassy. Heinreich “Hans” VonGoertz and Sassy became our main line of breeding dogs. They both have such wonderful temperment and hunting ability. Since then, we save daughters from those breedings. In 2002 we aquired Big Daddy Maxwell “Max” from Iowa. He is used to breed the daughters. We do not do any line breeding. Our dogs are descended from several championship bloodlines and are AKC Certified.

Our pups are some of the best in ability, beauty, and they are very social animals and well suited for family life.

We are there when they breed and are there when the puppies are born. We have a baby monitor in the kennels so that we will be able to hear when the mother is in labor. We have spent many very early hours helping them throught the birth. We talk to them, coddle them, and whatever else we can do to help them be healthy and happy.

After a few weeks we set up a small pool outside for the pups to get used to the water. Once they get into it, they are very hard to keep out of it… they have a blast.

During this time we teach them to point and begin obedience training. We encourage our grandchildren to come and play with them so that they are used to children as well as grown ups. All our puppies have been friendly and love the attention.

We have only a limited number of puppies each year, so we encourage folks to send a deposit to reserve a pup for themselves. We will take pictures and send photos via email to those that reserve pups so they can pick the one(s) they want.
